The results are now in and it appears the Dems have managed to DEFEAT themselves_smh. I wish i could say that "I'm shocked!" But the truth is I'm not. I left that party in 2004, having had my fill of their nonsense. If it hadn't been for Obama running for President, and presenting himself as an intelligent and capable candidate, I would've simply NOT voted. IMO, what we need in this counry is a viable 3rd viable party_one with REAL and INTELLIGENT and GUTSY leadership; an "if heads need to ROLL to get the job done SO BE IT"_kind of leadership.But back to "D-Day in Massachusetts":Obama's last minute attempt to try and prop up a weak candidate to save Ted's senate seat was, IMO, NOT smart and a weak effort ta boot. In their pick of Coakley to run for Ted Kennedy's seat, the Mass. Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee showed itself to be as cynical and as arrogant and as STUPID as the McCain presidential campaign in their choice of Palin for VP.Both committees thought they could just throw what amounted to ANYBODY up there and win. And both got their hats handed to them…SEE YA.Is this country in decline OR WHAT?_smh.

I agree with BD's comment. But I'm also going to wait to hear the ACTUAL outcome of the votes before I really weigh in.

The people in Mass. need to realize this race is not only about them but affects the rest of us too. If they have a problem with Ms. Coakley they should take that up with their local party about how she was who they put forward. But right now it comes down to heath care for all or nobody, and thats too important to play with.
