Thankfully, the United States has rules regulating the types of stairs, depth, size, etc. that can be installed in a home or business. However, the rest of the world leaves it mostly up to chance.
Check out some of the worst stairs in the world in the photos below. You seriously won’t believe your eyes!

2.) Exactly how is a person in a wheelchair supposed to use these “handicapped” stairs?

Good Lord, why on earth would anyone think that any of those ugly and extremely dangerous stairs were great ideas?! Including the stairs built by the Incas.
They’re all potentially death-traps, Except the first pic at the very top of DJ’s post which I would posit nearly makes death a certainty!
